I had exactly that experience of the work pouring out of me once I was able to get back to it (see my latest post 10 Top Tips For Artists), I&#039;ve heard of other artists who are mothers experiencing the same thing. I think having kids can be good for an artist because you get so desperate to work that it can make you very focused and determined.

I&#039;d never thought of making a video about my work and putting it up on YouTube, it&#039;s an interesting idea - maybe I should make one about The Diary Project.</description>

I continued to work during the raising of my three kids, and like you switched to smaller more stop and start kind of work - thank Goddess for the computer during this time!  I sort of grew up with it, and now that my kids are almost fully cooked (ages 22, 18 and 12) I have been back in the studio painting again - so much was stored on the hard drive in my mind all those years that the work is just exploding out.
I am enjoying your insights and look forward to seeing more!  When the diary show is hung, I would love to see it.
