Finally after many years of creating on the dining room table, I have converted the third floor of our house to a studio, and I love being up in the trees & clouds!! I too have tried renting a studio and found it to be a waste of time and money - I prefer working from home where everything is handy, I don't need to lug materials backwards and forwards and I can do my work as soon as the mood takes me. My work began to focus more on objects like leaves, seeds and vines that could be collected, dried, and remain photographable for a long time, because I never knew when I’d find time to work on something. And now I have discovered that collecting these objects is a wonderful way to share my art with my now 5 year old son.
