I’m back…

Actually, I got back home on Monday evening but needed a couple of days to a) recover from London, b) catch up with everything at home and c) do my dratted tax return.

The later isn't going so well, I've done all the maths but the website won't recognise my password so I can't file it. Needless to say, I am not too happy about this since the deadline is on Saturday. And yes, I know I should have done it before now but since I can't do anything to fix the problem this evening, I've been sorting out my pictures from the show.

Here's Quiver hanging in the window of the shop.

The inside of the shop is very colourful and busy...

...so my calm, white corner is quite a contrast.

This was a comfortable chair to pin on - just the right height - and Pin Ritual looks lovely draped over it.

The wide window ledge is a perfect place for the Pin Stories folder, my bowl of pins, the comments book and the little leather and pin Touch Objects.

These pin drawings are two of my personal favourites...

...but these two monoprints with their pin, needle and thread imagery also proved popular.

That's it for now. If I can sort out the tax thing without having a nervous breakdown, I'll be back tomorrow with a proper update of some of my London adventures.

  1. I really wanted to come see you on Sunday but was buried by girlie pain and accounting - so thanks for sharing photos of your space! I did see that Katherine Tyrrell got to meet you doing your pin project. :)

Bummer about the tax thing. I know that I still have that silly little card they sent me with my number and password because I always forget it. You really should ring them - I don't know if they even have an 'email my password' facility because they make it so complicated sending stuff by post. On the offchance, have you tried another browser?

  3. HI Tina, I'll be back in London on Thursday 26th Feb until Sunday 1st March so perhaps we can get together then. Katherine was talking about organising a meet-up between the three of us, which would be great.

I eventually managed to file the taxes - it turned out their website was just overwhelmed earlier in the evening and when I tried it after midnight it worked just fine. I am feeling mightily relieved.
