100 Letters

Categories Blog

the heartful blogger has started a project called 100 Letters, that is directly inspired by The Diary Project. I’m so flattered!

She will be sending out 100 proper handwritten letters in a year and she’ll be doing a drawing on the back of each. As you can see, her drawing style is quite different from my own.

I wish her every success and hope she enjoys her project as much as I (mostly!) enjoy mine. And now, I really must give myself a small mental kick and go and draw my own envelope…

I am an artist & purveyor of obsessive projects based in Hebden Bridge, England. My work involves the accretion of large numbers of small objects - pins in fabric, knots in string or hundreds of envelopes - to make sculptures that deal with fragility, loss, repetition, obsession and time.

  1. Hi Kirsty, wow, I’m really happy that you’re happy about my project, I wanted to leave you a comment to let you know you’d inspired me, but felt a bit bashful about it. But this is great, thanks for blogging it!! And thanks for the inspiration, I hope you find someone to curate the exhibition, if you do, I’ll be there!!

  3. I know what you mean about feeling bashful, I tend to as well but I’ve been getting braver lately about reaching out to people and mostly it’s been very positive.

I hope I find someone to curate the exhibition too, I haven’t done much about it yet and I know that I need to start putting out some serious feelers soon.
